Parkside Public House, of 2602 Shelby Street in Garfield Park, will serve its last regular meal on Saturday, October 10.
It was a restaurant, gallery, watering hole, music room, and creative space. It is survived by its regulars, its weirdos, its artists, and a kitchen that gave it their all.
In lieu of flowers, come eat.
Open as usual until then. Thursday through Sunday, brunch and lunch till 3, dinner from 3.
After regular service ends, three chapters tell the story of Parkside over six nights.
Everyone is invited to see it off properly.
